We contributed to the mobile app that tells an organisation about an IT outage the moment it happens.
One incident
Three views of the same outage
The same event at 09:42. All that changes is how much of it each person needs to see.
Only what is confirmed
A manager does not need logs. They see that an outage is confirmed, what it touches and whether it is being handled, and nothing else. A calm screen you can glance at between two meetings.
Everything needed to act
What is happening, where the problem is, what is affected, who is involved, how the fix is progressing and how long it should take. The densest of the three, because it is the only one anybody acts from.
What is down, and until when
A user needs three things: what is not working, what it affects and when it will be back. Nothing that asks them to interpret a technical status.
Context
Luna is built by Trigama International s.r.o., a Czech IT company working out of Prague since 2013. The point of the product is simple: when an IT service goes down, the organisation should hear it immediately and from the operator, not from irritated users. An operator monitors the services, verifies a suspected outage and enters the status into the app. Luna then informs a predefined group through PUSH notifications and email. It runs either as a cloud service or on the organisation's own infrastructure.
Our role
We contributed to the mobile app as part of the development team, not as a standalone supplier. The work happened inside an existing codebase, alongside the in-house team.
Technical approach
The app is built on React Native with TypeScript, iOS and Android from a single codebase. Technically everything rests on PUSH delivery: the product only makes sense if the notice arrives within seconds and reliably. Beyond that the app shows components with their current status and history, ongoing, planned and closed events, lets someone raise an organisational request, and manages subscriptions and notifications.
Where we are today
The app is in operation for iOS and Android.
